Thank God our former Governor, who now heads DHS, deployed the SD Guard at the cost of millions of taxpayer dollars (in a state now short taxpayer dollars to balance its budget) to our Southern border (no, not to Sioux Falls, to Texas) to combat the migrant hordes streaming into South Dakota committing violent crimes. I’m just surprised so many South Dakotans “knew or had some kind of relationship” with all these undocumented immigrant criminals. It’s surprising as well that Tom “Let’s deport all the brown people” Homan is having so much trouble locating these undocumented brown criminals, that he’s having to just deport random brown people
without the due process necessary to establish their criminal status—but at least they won’t be able form relationships with South Dakotans and commit violent crimes . . . oh, before all of you “being illegal is a crime” law and order types get your panties in a wad, I know being undocumented is a civil crime, a misdemeanor, which everyone knows is a gateway crime to violent crime.
Could it be that the REASON less serious crimes were down was because law enforcement was too busy dealing with the increase in more serious crimes that they didn't have time to respond to or do the paperwork for the loitering and disorderly conduct events? Or does law enforcement never admit to the public that that happens?
Just another quick comparison, and bear in mind, math isn’t my strong suit. There were 76 homicides in Minneapolis in 2024, up from 72 the prior year. The population of Sioux Falls is roughly 39% of Minneapolis—and we had 31 homicides, 45 fewer than Minneapolis. So Sioux Falls statistically had slightly more homicides as a ratio of population than Minneapolis. I’m just thinking of all the folks who are afraid to go to Minneapolis because they worry about being killed because it’s “so dangerous” when statistically, it’s slightly more likely you'll be a victim of homicide in Sioux Falls. Granted if you don’t know or have a relationship with any undocumented immigrants in Sioux Falls, I’m sure it’s pretty safe. But to be even more certain, just stay away from any relationships with men, as they are the overwhelming majority of those arrested for offenses of all kinds. The article doesn’t share the number of violent crimes committed by men, but I’m just guessing it’s more than 75%.
I think this may be numbers only but don't we just in Sioux Falls have several homicides that are still unsolved? We are not talking about just 1 but several. We have constant car break-ins. Garages are broken into and never solved. I know one garage that was broken into and they took the car doors right off the car. NO POLICE ever responded to the vehicle in the locked garage regarding it. Yes, we are on the Lincoln Cty side of 57th. There is no excuse they never responded. Crime is up so tell the truth.

Once America is great again, this will all go away. Just you wait.
You are so funny
