Clerical error forces councilors to miss Sioux Falls State of City Address
Window closed on posting correct meeting notice under state law
A majority of Sioux Falls city councilors will not be attending Mayor Paul TenHaken’s annual State of the City Address Thursday morning.
But rather than their absences being in protest or demonstration, city councilors won’t be going due to a “clerical error” that kept the traditional event from being given proper public notice.
