Chris Reder will take post representing District 1 in state House
Lawmaker-elect previously threatened to resign spot he won in November
A Navy veteran from Warner elected to the South Dakota House Representatives will be sworn in and take his post.
After being elected in November, Republican Chris Reder said he was considering not assuming his two-year term. He said 2024 was a difficult year and that he was dealing with health problems.
But on Thursday, Reder said he will serve in Pierre after all.
