Carbon pipeline company continues studying route options through South Dakota
Summit Carbon Solutions not giving up on 2,000-mile pipeline project that's faced heavy opposition
Summit Carbon Solutions continues to work on establishing a new route through South Dakota after its initial construction permit application for a carbon sequestration pipeline was not accepted.
While that process continues, there has been chatter about Summit organizing public meetings, and this week, the company will tout the benefits of the project during a tour of NuGen Energy in Turner County, one of more than 30 ethanol plants slated to hook onto Summit’s pipeline
Beyond that, Summit spokeswoman Sabrina Zenor said there have been office hours sessions in other counties, like Brown and Spink, open to anyone with questions about the company’s pipeline project.
