SPONSORED BY BEAL DISTRIBUTING & JUNA SLEEP SYSTEMS | House leaders Jon Hansen and Karla Lems visit The Dakota Scout bunker to discuss their bid for governor and lieutenant governor.
BTW, I notice the Dakota Scout hasn't been covering the growing protests at DSU by faculty and staff against the President Jose-Marie Griffiths' announcement that former Governor Kristi Noem will give the commencement speech and receive an honorary degree on May 10th. DSU has a large percentage of foreign students on visas (largely because of the technology degrees, of course), who are very upset.
"“We’re talking about the Department of Homeland Security and the secretary of homeland security as it’s been widely talked about there are students on this campus that have been fearful of getting their visas revoked and it’s been a lot for students to wrap their heads around,” Dakota State University Student Senate Vice-President Anden Wieseler said."
President Griffiths made the announcement to the staff and students and then asked if they approved: they almost unanimously opposed it. Protests are being organized, with students and with Madison citizens. You might want to cover it. This could be big.
